"The Christmas tree is a symbol of love. There's a kind of glory to them when they're all lit up that exceeds anything all the money in the world could buy" - Andy Rooney
This on-going project originated from my love of Christmas and collecting old photographs. The main theme within this series of images is the inclusion of a Christmas tree. The symbolic nature of the Christmas tree is deeply rooted in history and for decades families have gathered around it to celebrate.
When I was a little girl, I would watch my mother decorate the tree with such precision, there was never an item out of place and it truly was a thing of aesthetic beauty. The Christmas tree was always central to our festivities, we'd gather around it for most of the day as do most families around the world.

From around 1910 to 1960, paper negative and photo wallets were found in almost every household drawer or cupboard, often found alongside unwanted photographs or negatives of the past.
This collection started a few years ago following an interest in vintage graphics and 20th Century photographic items.
The search continues for earlier produced wallets, however the early Kodak related printed ephemera has become highly collectable worldwide due to the success of the brand.
