We travelled two hours north from Vancouver to Whistler and stayed at Nita Lake Lodge, a uniquely modern boutique retreat in the mountains of Whistler. Nita Lake is located in the village of Creekside, alongside a glacier-fed lake and is five minutes from Whistler village.

 

We experienced the peak-to-peak gondola, with breath taking views and at the top of Whistler Mountain, where we saw our first brown bear.

 

From canoeing on Nita Lake to hiring bikes and cycling to rainbow park, Whistler was the start of our experience through the rockies.
